Bishop’s Primary were delighted to have one entry into the Spirited Arts competition receive a highly commended judgement. Our year 5 entry about ‘Making Sense of Life’ included a model of a person meditating to show calm thinking and deep reflections. Newspaper clippings covered the person to represent the world and events in our everyday lives.
All classes took part in the Spirited Arts competition creating pictures, sculptures and even a song. The children had to reflect on a selection of themes and think about what they meant to the them. Everyone really enjoyed the link between RE and Art. The children were particularly proud of their finished pieces which we formed into an art gallery. Parents and family members were invited to view our final pieces earlier this year.
