It’s GOLD for Bishop’s

3rd October 2024Fran Davison

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2024/25 academic year.

The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

With a total of young people competing in local inter-school competitions this year, we are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our competitions possible.

As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.

We look forward to applying once again in 2025!

Proposed change to the school Admissions Policy for 2024-25 and onwards

10th October 2022Antony Pearson
As the Admissions Authority, NCEA Trust are proposing a change to the school Admissions Policy for 2024-25 and onwards.Ā  This is our formal notification of a consultation period from 10th OctoberĀ 2022 until 29th November 2022.
We propose to change the oversubscription criteria in the following way:
Remove criteria 5 “Children who already have a sibling at the school and are living outside the catchment area” and amend criteria 2 “Children who already have a sibling at the school and are living within the catchment area” to simply “children who already have a sibling at the school”.
This changeĀ would meanĀ that sibling families are ensured a place at the same school. This is important for attendance, punctuality and transportation to one school destination by the most efficient method.
Please click here to see the proposed change details of the full policy.
